We know after a long hard day, taking your makeup off before sleep can seem like an added chore that you just can’t bring yourself to do. However, this is a necessary step into maintaining fresh, clean skin! Not taking your makeup off at night can lead to a number of different skin issues, including:
Sleeping in your makeup can cause breakouts. This is because your makeup can mix with the dirt that you have been exposed to throughout the day, as well as the built-up oils on the surface of your skin. If these three mix, they block up pores, which then produce breakouts.
DULL LOOKING SKIN
Your complexion can look dull when you wake up if you leave your makeup on overnight. The day old foundation, powder and eye makeup will settle into the creases and fine lines on your face, which causes your skin to look tired.
OTHER PRODUCTS WON’T WORK
If you try and use skin products such as moisturizer or serum for anti-aging, oily skin, dry skin etc, they won’t work properly over your makeup! Make sure you have a clean, fresh face for the best results.
